Data Deletion Request

At Prompted OS, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your data from our platform. We process all deletion requests in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws.

1. What Data We Store

Account Data

• Email address
• Name (if provided)
• Profile information
• Account settings

Connected Platforms

• Facebook OAuth tokens
• Google OAuth tokens
• Shopify API credentials
• Any BYOK API keys

Generated Content

• AI-generated marketing content
• Saved tool outputs
• Chat history
• Cached extractions

Files & Media

• Uploaded images and videos
• Saved documents
• Generated content files
• Temporary files

2. How to Request Data Deletion

Through Account Settings

If you have an active account, you can request deletion through your account settings:

1. Log in to your Prompted OS account
2. Navigate to Settings → Account
3. Click "Delete Account"
4. Confirm your deletion request

3. What Happens When You Request Deletion

When we process your deletion request, the following actions will be taken:

1. Account Deletion: Your account and profile information will be permanently removed from our authentication system.
2. Token Revocation: All OAuth tokens and API keys stored in our secure vault will be permanently deleted.
3. File Removal: All uploaded files, media, and generated content stored in our system will be permanently deleted.
4. Database Cleanup: All records associated with your account will be removed from our database.
5. Cache Clearing: Any cached data related to your account will be purged.

4. Deletion Timeline

• Within 24 hours: We will acknowledge receipt of your deletion request.
• Within 7 days: We will verify your identity and confirm your deletion request.
• Within 30 days: Your data will be completely and permanently deleted from all our systems.

5. Important Notes

• Irreversible: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to export any data you want to keep before requesting deletion.
• Subscription: If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before requesting deletion to avoid further charges.
• Third-Party Platforms: Deleting your Prompted OS account does not delete data stored on connected platforms (Facebook, Google, Shopify). You must contact those services directly.
• Legal Requirements: We may retain certain data if required by law or to comply with legal obligations.
• Backup Systems: Data may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days after deletion, after which it will be permanently purged.

6. For Facebook Users

If you connected your Facebook account to Prompted OS and want to revoke access:

1. Go to your Facebook Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites
2. Find "Prompted OS" in the list of connected apps
3. Click "Remove" to revoke access
4. Then submit a data deletion request to us using the methods above

Note: Revoking Facebook access alone does not delete the data already stored in Prompted OS. Please submit a deletion request to completely remove your data.
